PANDA – is a residential substance abuse treatment facility for women and the infants. This program, available to women from the Palm Beach County, impacts our future generations and is a great investment in our community. PANDA, which stands for Pregnant and Addicted, teaches women copinging skills, life skills and helps them to reintegrate back into the community. The residential program is available to women who meet the criteria fo alcohol/drug abuse and/or dependence. In addition, women are accepted with or without children for substance abuse treatment; however, the priority is women who are pregnant and addicted. PANDA accepts pregnant woman who are in the third month of their pregnancy. And even after they give birth, the mom is allowed to keep the babywith her while in the program which makes it much easier for mom to stay in treatment and in the program. Women are provided individual, group and family therapy, chemical dependency education, relapse prevention counseling, nutrition counseling for moms and theor babies, pre and post natal care, GED preparation, parenting skills, and vocational counseling.
