Access Center (West Palm Beach)
Access Center provides a one-stop intake process for all services provided
at the center. For more information on the Access Center or how to receive
services.
Emergency Services
The West Palm Beach Center is an authorized Baker Act receiving
facility for adults.
Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital Services
Two specially designed inpatient psychiatric units provide individualized
inpatient therapeutic interventions for adults in a safe, secure
and structured environment.
Glades Crisis Stabilization Unit
Glades Crisis Stabilization Unit
Provides individualized inpatient therapeutic interventions for
adults, children and adolescents in a safe, secure and structured
environment. The Glades facility is an authorized Baker Act receiving
facility for children and adults.
Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic
Staff psychiatrists assess and treat behavioral healthcare needs,
including prescribing
and monitoring the effect of psychotropic
medication.
Outpatient Therapy
Counseling and therapeutic services are provided to adults experiencing
emotional distress.
Pharmacy
On-site pharmacy provides medication related care, pharmaceutical
counseling and education.
Coping with Economic Stress (West Palm Beach)
This free program was developed to help people suffering from unemployment,
underemployment and general financial hardship. Program will offer
individual and family counseling and participants will be provided with
the necessary coping skills to deal with the negative implications of the
new economy.
Veteran's Family Therapy and Intervention (West Palm Beach)
Provides the veteran and his/her family with the necessary skills to cope with the stressors of returning from deployment, returning to family life, and treatment for trauma and post traumatic stress disorder, and related mental health issues.
Personal Growth Services
The Centers partial hospitalization and group programs provide
intensive services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness
of such a magnitude that it significantly impairs their day-to-day
personal, social, vocational and educational functioning.
Individual Case Management
Provides assessment, planning, linkage, monitoring, and advocacy
services to help severely and persistently mentally ill persons
who reside in the community.
Forensic Services
The Forensic Mental Health Specialist, Jail Diversion Specialist
and Forensic Case Manager assist the population in the criminal
justice system, on a pre-release basis and post-release basis, with
reintegration back into the community. These professionals provide
supportive services to facilitate the development and maintenance
of reintegration skills.
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Teams
Provide an intensive outpatient care program that will increase
independent functioning for people with a history of psychiatric
hospitalization, treatment resistance and substance abuse.
Comprehensive Community Service Team (CCST)
Designed to minimize Baker Act intervention, increase and enhance
prevention and recovery strategies, and facilitate the development
of reintegration skills that will allow our severely and persistently
mentally ill clients to live more independently and productively
within the community.
Outreach and Homeless Services
Provide non-shelter services for the mentally ill homeless and to
minimize hospitalization.
Supported & Supervised Housing
Provide safe and affordable housing for those who need some assistance
with activities for daily living.
Supported Employment
The goal of this program is to assist severely and persistently
mentally ill clients in reaching their full potential in the job
market through work readiness training, on-the-job support, advocacy
and job-retention techniques. Support is ongoing for as long as
needed. |
